HIRING: PROJECTION DESIGNER
Theatre Encounter seeks a Projection Designer for our March 2027 presentation of THE CABINET OF DR CALIGARI
The Projection Designer will work with the director and the rest of the design team to design, create and install visual projection backdrops for the production, which is based on the 1920s Expressionist film of the same name. Projection artists with an interest in Abstract Expressionism and experimental art are encouraged to apply.
Theatre Encounter will provide all equipment needed, included access to computers, projectors and QLab license. We welcome applications from emerging artists and those new to projection design.
Designers will work independently with occasional design meetings through the Fall and Winter. Attendance at the venue for load in and technical rehearsals will be required in the week of March 13.
START DATE OF CONTRACT: November 2026 or ASAP.
PRODUCTION DATES: March 13-20, 2027
END DATE OF CONTRACT: March 21, 2027
